Curating & Arts Writing

I am a seasoned curator in both visual art and performance, including contemporary dance, experimental theatre, sound/music, film/video, and multidisciplinary forms. I have curated numerous exhibitions, performances, and public programs within nonprofit institutions, in collaboration with partners, and independently. In addition to curatorial essays and statements, I write occasionally for arts-based and hybrid journals and publications. I am part of a growing pool of arts writers of color and am especially interested in contributing to platforms committed to diversifying the field of arts writing and cultural criticism. Creative Producing & Project Management

I have experience producing visual and performing artists’ projects at all stages, including creative development, research, residencies, budgeting, grants/fundraising, marketing, exhibition/presentation, and touring. I also work with organizations and individual artists to support projects, programs, and events at any stage of development, including concept, design, and ideation; fundraising, budgeting, and grant writing; implementation and execution; marketing and communications; and evaluation. These might include exhibitions, performances, public programs, community- and audience-based projects, special events, equity initiatives, and more. I am currently accepting new clients for projects that can be supported primarily through remote/virtual work. Consulting & Contract Work

I am available for short- or long-term consulting and contract-based work for nonprofit arts and cultural organizations, individual artists and creative workers, and others. Services might include advising, planning, grant writing and reporting, facilitation, writing & editing, marketing & communications, and more. The majority of my work must be remote/virtual, but I am able to travel depending on frequency and other logistical considerations.
